BOARDING CONTRACT
1. Annual vaccination
Cats will only be accepted with current certificate of inoculation for Feline Infectious
Enteritis and Cat Flu.
Vaccination card will be required. Treatment must have been completed 4 weeks before
arrival.
2. Regular Flee & Worm routine
You should check that your cat is treated against fleas and worms every 6 weeks as per
veterinary advice. Heathfield Cattery can provide this service at a fee.
3.Collection & Delivery
Heathfield Cattery can provide a personal secure collection & delivery service within
3miles of the cattery at a fee.
4. Fees & Deposit
All fees are charged by the day £6.50 per day per animal, and include day of arrival and
departure. Total fees for the agreed amount of time must be paid in full even if the pet is
collected early, unless agreed early at the time of booking. Deposits are non-refundable.
A deposit will be required for animals boarding more than three weeks. Only cats from
the same home may share accommodation, every cat thereafter incurs a fee of £3.50 up
to a maximum of four cats. (i.e., 4 cats sharing £17 per night)
The payment for boarding fees and other services may be made by cash or cheque,
supported by bankers card.
5. Belongings
Beds and bedding will be supplied unless provided by the owner at owners risk.
6. Male Cats
We regret that we are unable to accept male cats over six months that have not been
neutered.
7. Right to refuse admission
We reserve the right to refuse admission to any cat appearing to be unwell or thought to
be suffering from any illness or infectious disease.
8. Illness
Insurance will only cover illness or injury that is contracted whilst boarding at Heathfield
Cattery, and is proven to be the fault of the cattery. The insurance will not cover feline
enteritis and cat flu. Veterinary fees other than the above will be paid by the Owner. If a
cat should appear unwell whilst in our care, we will first try to contact your own Vet. Should
this not be possible, we reserve the right to enlist the services of our veterinary surgeon.
If in the unfortunate event a cat should pass away whilst staying at Heathfield Cattery the
owners or owners contact person will be advised. The cat will be taken to the cattery
veterinary surgery for safe storage until the owners return, unless instructed otherwise.
9. Loss
Whilst boarding in our cattery, or being transported by us to or from the cattery, all cats are
covered by our insurance policy for accidental injury or loss.
10. Non collection
Any cat left uncollected within 14 days of the date due to leave the cattery, without
communication from the pet owner, will be handed over to an animal charity at our
discretion.
Important: Any persons entering the cattery do so at their own risk, if you are
accompanied by children you must keep them under control at all times.
